Stampli does not publish a price. Every customer gets a custom quote, and Stampli's own pricing page names three things that set it: the number of entities or locations, the number of vendors, and the feature tier. The core accounts payable product is one package, and Procurement, Direct Pay, Stampli Credit Card and Advanced Vendor Management are added on top as separate modules.
That is everything Stampli confirms in public, checked against stampli.com on September 19, 2026. It is not much to budget with. This article sets out what the quote covers, what pushes it up, how it compares with competitors that do publish prices, and when a US team is better off buying only the invoice capture part.
How much does Stampli cost?
Stampli costs whatever your quote says, and you only get the quote after a discovery call and a demo. There is no self-serve plan, no public starting price and no pricing calculator. Third-party review sites print annual estimates, but none of them come from Stampli, so treat any number you read online as a rumor until it is on a proposal with your company's name on it.
What you can plan around is the structure. Because the price follows entities, locations and vendors, two companies with the same invoice count can get very different quotes. A single-entity distributor with 150 suppliers sits at one end. A restaurant group with 30 locations, each its own entity in NetSuite, sits at the other.
What is included in the Stampli base price
According to the pricing page, the core "Stampli for Accounts Payable" package includes:
- Automated invoice capture
- Unlimited entities and locations, unlimited vendors and unlimited PO matching
- Semi-automated two and three way matching
- Twelve pre-built reports with interactive dashboards
- A dedicated customer success manager and team training
- The mobile app and expense management
The word "unlimited" next to entities and vendors can look odd when those same things drive the price. The way to read it: the product does not cap you, but your quote is sized to how many you run. Ask the rep to write down what happens to the price if you add entities mid-contract.
Stampli add-on modules and what they are for
| Module | What it does | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Stampli Procurement | Purchase requests and POs before the invoice arrives | Companies that buy on POs and want spend approved up front |
| Stampli Direct Pay | Pays vendors by check, ACH, global ACH and wire | Teams that want payment runs inside the AP system |
| Stampli Credit Card | Virtual cards (free for customers) and physical cards | Teams paying vendors by card to earn rebates |
| Advanced Vendor Management | Vendor portal, messaging, onboarding and compliance | AP teams drowning in vendor emails and W-9 chasing |
Each module you add changes the quote. If your goal is a lower number, decide before the demo which of these you will actually use in the first year, and say so. Sales teams price what you appear to want.
Does Stampli charge per user?
Stampli's pricing page lists entities, locations, vendors and tier as the drivers, not seats. That is a real advantage when a dozen project managers or department heads need to approve invoices. Some third-party write-ups also mention user counts and invoice volume as factors, so ask your rep to confirm in writing whether seats or invoice volume appear anywhere in your quote.
Does Stampli charge setup or implementation fees?
Stampli says it deploys in weeks and includes team training and a dedicated success manager in the core package. The pricing page does not list an implementation fee, and it also does not say there is none. Contract length, ERP connector charges and onboarding costs are not published either, so these are the three lines to check on the proposal before you sign.
Stampli pricing compared with competitors that publish prices
Because Stampli will not give you a number up front, the fastest way to judge a quote is against tools that do. Figures below are from each vendor's pricing page, checked in September 2026.
| Tool | Published price | How it scales |
|---|---|---|
| Stampli | None, quote only | Entities, locations, vendors, tier, modules |
| BILL | $49, $65 or $89 per user per month | Users, plus fees per payment (ACH $0.59, check $1.99) |
| Tipalti | AP plans from $99 per month | Per-invoice and per-payment transaction fees, entities, modules |
| Dext | $25.21 per month billed annually, 250 documents | Documents, plus add-ons for line items and statements |
| PayablesAgent | $49 per month, or $24 billed yearly | Pages processed, flat plan, no per-invoice fee |
BILL is the usual benchmark for a US small or mid-size company. A five-person AP team on BILL Team pays $65 x 5 = $325 a month before payment fees, or $3,900 a year. Automatic two and three way matching sits on BILL Corporate, at $89 per user, which puts the same team at $5,340 a year. If your Stampli quote is several times that, the question to ask is which Stampli features you are paying the difference for. Our Bill.com pricing breakdown works through those numbers in more detail, and the Tipalti alternative comparison covers the per-invoice fee model.
Is Stampli worth the price?
For the right company, yes. Stampli earns its quote when three things are true: invoices need approval from people outside finance, you match against purchase orders every day, and you run several entities or locations through one AP team. Its collaboration on the invoice itself gets non-finance approvers to respond, and unlimited entities with a dedicated success manager suit multi-location groups on NetSuite or Sage Intacct.
It is harder to justify when you are a single entity with a few hundred invoices a month, when approvals are one person (the owner or the controller), or when your ERP already handles approvals and payment runs. In those cases most of the value you would use is the capture step at the start: getting vendor, invoice number, dates, tax, total and line items out of a PDF and into the ledger without typing.
What does it cost to buy only the invoice capture part?
This is where the numbers get much smaller. PayablesAgent reads invoices, bills and receipts and exports the data to Excel, CSV, JSON or QuickBooks Online on published plans:
- Starter: $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year). One seat, 2,500 Base pages and 500 Pro pages a month.
- Plus: $149 a month, or $74 a month billed yearly ($888 a year). Up to three seats, 10,000 Base pages and 2,000 Pro pages, QuickBooks Online export and custom templates.
- Pro: volume plans at 35,000, 100,000 or 350,000 pages a month, with API access and up to five seats.
A company processing 400 invoices a month fits inside Starter. A bookkeeping practice handling 6,000 pages across clients fits inside Plus at $888 a year. Neither routes approvals or pays vendors: approvals stay with whoever signs off today, and payments run from your bank, BILL or your ERP. If invoices mostly arrive in a shared AP mailbox, pairing capture with a tool that can pull invoice attachments and fields out of incoming email removes the download step as well.
The honest trade-off: you give up Stampli's approval threads, PO matching and payment modules. If you need those, stay on a full AP platform and use the comparison on our Stampli alternative page to shortlist. If you do not, you are paying for a platform to get one step done.
How to get a lower Stampli quote
- Count your entities and active vendors before the call. Give the rep real numbers, not the ones you hope to have in three years. The quote is built on them.
- Name the modules you will not buy. Direct Pay, Procurement, cards and vendor management each move the price. Start with core AP if payments already work elsewhere.
- Bring a published-price benchmark. A BILL plan for your team size and a capture-only plan give you two concrete numbers to negotiate against.
- Ask for the contract term and renewal terms in writing. Stampli offers monthly or annual contracts according to reviewers; confirm which your quote assumes and what the renewal increase cap is.
- Test capture on your own invoices first. Run 20 real invoices, including scans and long line-item bills, through the upload tool at the top of this page. If the capture result is what impressed you in the demo, you will know whether you need the rest.
Does Stampli have a free trial?
Stampli does not advertise a self-serve free trial. The path is a demo, then a quote, then implementation with the success manager. If you want to see extraction results on your own documents before talking to anyone, the upload tool on this page returns the vendor, dates, totals and line items from a real invoice, and the PayablesAgent plans are listed in full.
The bottom line on Stampli pricing
Stampli is a quote-only procure-to-pay platform priced on entities, locations, vendors and tier, with payments, procurement, cards and vendor management sold as modules. It is a strong buy for multi-entity teams with outside approvers and daily PO matching. For a single-entity US company or a bookkeeping practice whose real problem is keying invoices, a published flat plan for invoice capture costs a small fraction of a platform contract and is running the same day.
