Yooz vs Tipalti comes down to what you need to automate. Yooz is invoice-first: a 15-day free trial, then one Gold Edition priced on how many documents you process, with unlimited users. Tipalti is payments-first: its Accounts Payable plan starts at $99 a month with unlimited users and a supplier portal, and you add per-invoice and per-payment transaction fees on top. If your pain is capturing and approving invoices, Yooz fits. If it is paying many suppliers in many countries, Tipalti fits.

Both are full AP platforms, and both are bigger than many US teams need. Below are the published prices, what each plan includes, a worked monthly cost, and a short answer for the team whose only real problem is typing invoice lines into QuickBooks. Every price comes from getyooz.com/pricing and tipalti.com/pricing.

How much does Yooz cost compared to Tipalti?

Tipalti publishes a floor and Yooz does not. Tipalti's Accounts Payable plan starts at $99 a month and Mass Payments at $249, and each invoice and payment carries a transaction fee that Tipalti quotes rather than prints. Yooz prices its single Gold Edition on document volume. Software directories list Yooz from about $199 a month, but Yooz itself does not confirm that number.

That means the sticker prices are not comparable on their own. A Tipalti bill is a platform fee plus a variable part that grows with every invoice you process and every supplier you pay. A Yooz bill is mostly fixed for a volume band, so it moves when you cross into the next band rather than with each item. Ask both vendors to price the same three numbers: invoices per month, payments per month and the share of payments that leave the US.

A worked monthly example

Take a US distributor with 400 vendor invoices a month, 250 supplier payments, almost all domestic ACH, and five people who touch approvals. On Tipalti, the $99 platform fee covers the five users because users are unlimited, then you add 400 invoice transactions and 250 payment transactions at whatever your quote says. On Yooz, you get a quote for a 400-document volume band, and the five approvers cost nothing extra.

If almost every payment is a domestic ACH, Tipalti's global payout engine is capacity you are paying for and not using, and the per-transaction fees can make it the pricier of the two. If 40 of those 250 payments go to suppliers in Mexico, Canada and Germany, Tipalti's supplier onboarding, tax form collection and multi-currency payouts start earning their fee. Our Tipalti pricing breakdown walks through each fee type and a break-even against BILL.

Is Yooz or Tipalti better for invoice processing?

Yooz is the stronger pick when the job is invoice processing itself. The product grew out of document capture, so the workflow centers on reading the invoice, coding it, routing it for approval and matching it to a purchase order with budget checks. The 15-day trial runs in a production environment, which lets your team push real vendor bills through before anyone signs.

Tipalti also reads invoices, in 146 languages, with automatic GL coding and 2 and 3 way matching. Its center of gravity is the other end of the process: onboarding suppliers through a self-service portal, collecting W-9 and W-8 forms, validating bank details and paying in many currencies. A controller paying 30 domestic vendors gets less from that than one paying 300 suppliers across 20 countries.

Which integrates better with NetSuite, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks?

On its pricing page, Tipalti names native, bi-directional integrations with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with QuickBooks also listed and custom API work possible at extra cost. Yooz claims more than 250 ERP and accounting integrations. For a NetSuite or Sage Intacct shop, both are credible. For a QuickBooks Online small business, either one is a lot of platform for a light ledger, and QuickBooks' own bill pay may cover approvals and payments already.

When to choose Yooz

  • You want to test with your own invoices before a sales conversation. Yooz is the only one of the two that offers a trial.
  • You run requisitions and purchase orders with budget checks, and approvers are spread across departments. Unlimited users keeps that cheap.
  • Your suppliers are mostly domestic and you pay them by ACH or check.

When to choose Tipalti

  • You pay a large or international supplier base and need tax form collection, bank detail validation and multi-currency payouts in one place.
  • You want a published starting price and can live with variable transaction fees.
  • You plan to add procurement, expenses or treasury later on the same platform.

If data entry is the only problem, you may not need either

Many teams shopping Yooz and Tipalti have one real bottleneck: somebody retypes vendor, invoice number, totals and line items from PDFs into the accounting system, while approvals happen by email and payments already run through the bank. Buying a full AP platform to fix that means paying for routing, supplier portals and payment rails you will not use.

For that team, PayablesAgent is the narrower buy. It is invoice OCR software that reads vendor, invoice number, dates, tax, totals and every line item, gives a clerk a screen to check them, and exports to Excel, CSV or QuickBooks Online. Plans are published: Starter at $49 a month for 2,500 pages and one seat, Plus at $149 a month for 10,000 pages, three seats and QuickBooks Online export, and Pro from $499 a month with five seats and a REST API. There is no demo or quote. You can upload invoices with the tool on this page and see the output before either sales call. If you still lean toward one of the platforms, our Yooz alternative and Tipalti alternative pages compare each against the wider field.

One more cost check before you sign: if a large share of your vendor bills are software subscriptions and cloud invoices, a tool for tracking cloud and SaaS spend catches unused seats and idle resources before those invoices ever reach AP.

Yooz vs Tipalti FAQ

Does Yooz have a free trial?

Yes. Yooz offers a 15-day free trial in a production environment with no commitment. After the trial, the paid Gold Edition is priced on the number of documents you process and includes unlimited users and four hours of complimentary onboarding service.

Does Tipalti have a free trial?

No trial is offered on Tipalti's pricing page. You request a demo and a quote. The Accounts Payable plan starts at $99 a month with unlimited users, a supplier portal and core automation, plus transaction fees per invoice and per payment.

What are Tipalti's fees on top of the $99 plan?

Tipalti adds transaction pricing for each invoice and each payment, and charges for expansion into Procurement, Expenses or Treasury. The per-transaction amounts are set in your quote, not printed on the pricing page. Custom or API-based ERP integrations can also add cost.

Is Yooz cheaper than Tipalti?

Often, for a domestic invoice-heavy team, because Yooz has no per-payment fees and unlimited users. Tipalti can be cheaper per dollar of value when you pay many international suppliers, since global payouts and tax forms are what its fees buy. Get both quotes on the same invoice and payment volumes.

Do Yooz and Tipalti work with QuickBooks?

Both list QuickBooks among their integrations. Tipalti's native, bi-directional connectors named on its pricing page are NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP Business One and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
