MineralTree Pricing and MineralTree Alternative with TotalAP Costs and Competitors Compared
MineralTree prices TotalAP by quote: a setup fee, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for capture, ACH and checks. If the part of that contract you actually need is invoices read into your ERP down to the line item, PayablesAgent does that on a published plan: $49 a month, or $149 a month for 10,000 pages, up to three seats and QuickBooks Online export.

The short answer
MineralTree has no public price. Its own FAQ says a TotalAP contract combines a one-time setup fee, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH and check payments, with no per-user charge. Stay on MineralTree if you want approvals, payment controls and vendor payments in one system tied to Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks or Dynamics GP. If approvals and payments already run in your ERP and the cost you want gone is keying invoices, a flat-rate capture tool covers that step without a platform contract.
How MineralTree pricing works
There is no pricing page on mineraltree.com. Every call to action leads to Request A Demo, and the numbers arrive in a proposal. What MineralTree does publish is the shape of that proposal. On the TotalAP page it lists four parts: a one-time setup fee, an annual platform fee, monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH payments and check payments, and possible integration fees depending on your accounting system, banking setup and onsite training.
The general FAQ adds the part most buyers care about: there are no user fees. Your fee covers as many users as your AP process needs. That is the opposite of BILL, where every approver is a $49 to $89 monthly seat, and it is why companies with 20 approvers and a few hundred invoices a month often end up on MineralTree.
So your quote moves with three things: how many invoices you capture, how many ACH and check payments you send, and how complicated the integration is. A NetSuite or Sage Intacct connection through the native API is the simple case. An on-premise system such as Sage 50 goes through MineralTree's File Connect CSV sync, and custom banking or onsite training can add fees.
You will find dollar ranges for MineralTree on software directories and procurement sites. Those numbers come from those sites, not from MineralTree, so do not budget against them. Get your own proposal and read it against the four line items above.
Two questions are worth asking on the call. First, what happens in a month where invoice or payment counts run above the contracted volume: MineralTree says it will work with you to update the contract to avoid overage charges, so ask what that means in dollars. Second, whether line-level capture is priced the same as header-only capture, because MineralTree extracts both and the usage fee is where the difference would show up.

When MineralTree is the better buy
MineralTree is a full invoice-to-pay platform, and a capture tool does not replace most of it. If these describe you, keep it or compare it only against other AP platforms.
You have many approvers and no appetite for seat pricing
Department heads, project managers and property managers who each approve a handful of bills a month are expensive on per-user tools. MineralTree's volume pricing lets all of them in without a seat count.
You want the payment run inside AP
ACH, checks and virtual cards with rebates sent from the same place invoices were approved, with dual approvals, role-based access and duplicate detection on the payment side. That is the TotalPay half of the product, and extraction alone does not do it.
You run Sage Intacct across several entities
MineralTree supports multi-entity accounting, has a Vendor Payments product that works inside Sage Intacct, and added multi-currency invoices and international payments for Intacct users. For an Intacct shop, that depth is hard to match with file imports.
You want someone else to check the capture
MineralTree pairs OCR with human validation. If nobody on your team has time to glance at extracted invoices before they post, a validated service is worth paying for.
MineralTree competitors, grouped by the job you need done
Lists of MineralTree alternatives mix mid-market AP suites, card programs and small business bill pay. Decide which job you are buying for, then compare within that group.
Mid-market AP platform
Stampli
Approvals discussed on the invoice itself, unlimited entities and broad ERP coverage. Quote-based like MineralTree. See the Stampli alternative breakdown and what drives a Stampli quote.
Mid-market AP platform
AvidXchange
A large supplier payment network and deep coverage of real estate, construction and HOA accounting systems. No published price either. See the AvidXchange alternative comparison. Yooz is another volume-quoted option with unlimited users; our Yooz pricing comparison covers what its Gold Edition includes.
AP platform with published prices
BILL
Per-user plans you can read before a call and a big US payment network. Cheaper than a MineralTree contract for small teams, dearer once you have many approvers. See the Bill.com competitors comparison.
Global payables
Tipalti
Unlimited users and payouts to 200+ countries, from $99 a month plus per-invoice and per-payment fees. See the Tipalti alternative page.
Restaurant and hospitality AP
Ottimate
Line-item capture built for food and beverage invoices, with VendorPay for payments. Demo-only. See the Ottimate alternative page.
Who gets more from invoice capture than from MineralTree
NetSuite teams with approvals already in the ERP
If vendor bills route through NetSuite approval workflows and payments go out in NetSuite payment runs, a second AP platform duplicates both. You only need the invoice data. See AP automation for NetSuite.
QuickBooks Online companies under 500 invoices a month
Setup, platform and integration fees are hard to justify at this size. Plus at $149 a month reads 10,000 pages and exports bills to QuickBooks Online. See invoice OCR for QuickBooks.
Property managers and real estate groups
Utility, repair and contractor invoices across many properties, approved in property software you already pay for. Capture feeds it clean data. See invoice processing for property managers.
Construction companies
Supplier invoices with long material lists where the line items matter for job costing. See invoice OCR for construction companies.
Teams that need spend data, not a payment run
Line-level vendor data is also what a spend-based emissions estimate starts from, so the same export can feed Scope 3 carbon accounting without keying anything twice.
High or seasonal volume
Page-based plans run from 2,500 to 350,000 pages a month, and you change plan when volume changes instead of renegotiating a contract. See bulk invoice processing software.
How to test a MineralTree alternative before the proposal expires
-
1
Split the proposal into capture and payments
Put the capture usage fee on one line and the ACH, check and platform fees on another. If your bank or ERP already pays vendors well, the second line is the part you may not need.
-
2
Run a week of real invoices through the tool above
Include a multi-page supplier invoice, a scanned paper bill, a utility bill and one with 30 or more line items. Use Pro AI for poor scans and Base AI for clean PDFs, and check line items against the paper, not only the total.
-
3
Post them the way you post today
Import the CSV into NetSuite or Sage, or export to QuickBooks Online on the Plus plan. Time the whole week against keying it by hand.
-
4
Compare a year, not a month
Add MineralTree's setup fee to twelve months of platform and usage fees. Compare that against twelve months of the page plan that covers your volume plus what your bank charges for ACH today. That is the honest number.
Questions buyers ask about MineralTree
How much does MineralTree cost?
MineralTree does not publish a price list. According to its own FAQ, TotalAP pricing is made of a one-time setup fee, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH payments and check payments, with extra integration fees possible depending on your accounting system, banking setup and onsite training. There are no per-user fees.
Does MineralTree charge per user?
No. MineralTree says your fee covers as many users as your accounts payable process needs. The cost scales with invoice and payment volume instead, which suits companies with many approvers and moderate volume and hurts companies with few approvers and high volume.
What are the best MineralTree alternatives?
For another full AP platform, compare Stampli, AvidXchange, Tipalti and BILL. For small businesses that mainly pay bills, Melio or Ramp. If the job you need done is reading invoices and line items into your books, a flat-priced capture tool such as PayablesAgent costs $49 or $149 a month and needs no demo.
Does MineralTree integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. MineralTree lists QuickBooks among its native API integrations, with Sage Intacct, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics GP. Sage 50 and Acumatica connect through its CSV-based File Connect. A small QuickBooks Online company should still weigh a quoted platform against a $149 a month plan that exports bills straight to QuickBooks Online.
Who owns MineralTree?
MineralTree is part of Global Payments, which bought it in 2021 for about $500 million. It sells TotalAP for mid-market and enterprise AP teams, a Vendor Payments product that works inside Sage Intacct, and Inspyrus for larger enterprises.
Is there a cheaper alternative to MineralTree?
For invoice capture, yes. PayablesAgent Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, with 2,500 Base pages and 500 Pro pages. Plus is $149 a month with 10,000 Base pages, up to three seats and QuickBooks Online export. It does not pay vendors or route approvals, so those stay with your bank or ERP.
